Farhan gets ready with his next: Fukrey

After the super success of Abhishek Kapoor’s Kai Po Che, Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani are nearly ready with their next bromance flick — Fukrey. Much like KPC, this film too is young-at-heart and is set for a summer release this year.

“While Kai Po Che was promoted as a film that came from the house of Rang De Basanti and Rock On, Fukrey has the legacy of Dil Chahta Hai and Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara besides, of course, Rock On,” says an industry observer. A source close to the film says, “The shooting of the film is almost done. Like Kai Po Che, this one is also a non-starry affair with Pulkit Samrat (Bittoo Boss), Ali Fazal (Always Kabhi Kabhi) and Manjot Singh (Oye Lucky Lucky Oye) in pivotal roles.”
Going by Bollywood’s penchant for success formulae, let’s hope Fukrey doesn’t turn out to be a me-too Kai Po Che.
