‘Force’ful impact for Genelia
It’s been three years since Genelia D’Souza had a crackling success with Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na. Unfortunately, Ginny wasn’t able to cash in on it. But now, things are set for a change after she’s got a second innings with Force. Ginny now has as many as three films to look forward to in the coming year.
“It was sheer bad luck,” says an industry insider. “Life Partner and Chance Pe Dance didn’t work for various reasons, and her big ticket film, Hook Ya Crook with John Abraham, was stalled.”
Thankfully, her career in the South continued to sustain her popularity. And now, with the success of Force again pushing her into the Bollywood limelight, Ginny’s time seems to have come, with three projects readying for release. “Ginny now has Ekta Kapoor’s Rock The Shaadi, Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya and the Anees Bazmee-helmed It’s My Life,” our source says. But will her “forceful” pairing with John make David Dhawan revive Hook Ya Crook? Watch this space.
