Uff, what’s with these B’town gals and their rivalries? Just weeks after we heard of some of our leading ladies getting into a spat about which one of them is closer to Salman, we hear of two other actresses who’re slugging it out over being Sanjay Dutt’s “friends in-deed”.
Both Ameesha Patel and Kangna Ranaut have used the “Sanju is my friend” card to get roles opposite the actor. And until now, Kangna has had the upper hand, starring in quite a few high profile roles opposite Sanju, while all Ameesha could boast of was a failed outing in Tathastu.
But things may be set to change, with a long stalled Amee-Sanju project, Chatur Singh Two Star, to be released this Eid. Ameesha has a lot riding on it, says a source close to the actress: “Kanga is also doing Department and Power with Sanju, so for Amee, a lot depends on whether or not her film does better than Kangna’s. That just might be the deciding factor in whether she, or Kangna, gets to star in future projects opposite Sanju.”
Considering the downward spiral Ameesha’s career has been on, can’t blame the girl for getting desperate.
