Future calls for Ameesha

The Industry has been taken by surprise with Ameesha Patel getting Priyadarshan and David Dhawan on board to direct the first two ventures of her production house. In an exclusive conversation, Ameesha talks about her vision for future productions, her current equation with Sanjay Dutt, her love life and upcoming films:

Q With a film each with David Dhawan and Priyadarshan, you seem to have started off with a bang.
There has been so much goodwill that I have earned in the industry during the last 10 years. I am making films now, and I couldn’t have settled for anything but the best. These films are going to look good and have some great music too.
Q Are things fine between you and Sanjay Dutt now?
There never was any problem whatsoever to begin with. I am a constant visitor to their house and Maanyata is like family. The media has a habit of blowing things up.
Q Your break-up with Kanav Puri did make quite some news though.
It has been over a year since we moved on. I guess some things work out and some don’t. Most of the time, we were not together since he was overseas. Long distance relationships aren’t easy to maintain.
