Go Goa... delayed the wedding?

Unlike what most of you have heard, it wasn’t Kareena Kapoor alone who caused the delay in the Saif-Kareena wedding. Apparently the dates were pushed to December because Saif Ali Khan wants to concentrate on his home production Go Goa Gone, which is marching towards completion.

“Saif has wrapped up a major schedule of Go Goa Gone in Mauritius and is now readying it for release before the end of 2012. Since he has to accommodate it somewhere between Heroine (which arrives in September) and end of the year, it was prudent that there was further hold up in the wedding plans,” informs a source.
The latest change in the Saif-Kareena marriage date is not the first, and while there hasn’t been a word yet from Kareena, Sharmila Tagore too is now evasive of disclosing any more plans.
“It is understandable,” says a close associate, adding, “Both Kareena and Saif have so many professional commitments that the axe is falling time and again on their wedding date. No one can say it with confidence that it would take place this year at all. While producer Saif is committed to release Go Goa Gone soon, Kareena also has Talaash releasing in November.”
Moreover, though Saif’s role started off as a cameo in Go Goa Gone, he will now be seen in an extended guest appearance. This has added the responsibility to ensure that ghar-ka-member Kunal Khemu finds his place under the sun as the film’s main lead. Saif can well be expected to take his time before walking down the aisle.

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.

Shekhar Kapur’s Bandit Queen didn’t make the cut. Neither did Shaji Karun’s Piravi, which bagged 31 international awards.
