Graphic proof is what SRK needs
Shah Rukh Khan certainly seems to have learned all the right lessons from the failure of his earlier productions: Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani, Asoka and Paheli. After having scalded his hands with projects that were based on great ideas, but couldn’t hold the audience’s interest, SRK now requests a “prototype” of what the final film will look like before he takes it under the wing of his production house Red Chillies Entertainment.
A case in point was Roshan Abba’s to-be-released Always Kabhi Kabhi. A source close to the King Khan reveals, “SRK really loved the idea, but he wanted to make sure that it would be executed well. So he made Roshan create an entire graphic novel to show how the story would play out.”
It is quite a common practice to have a pictorial storyboard created for a project, but the trend is not one that is followed in B’wood. However, Roshan took up the challenge of creating an entire graphic novel gladly. “I already had the script ready, so it was easy for me to sketch some of the important scenes,” he says.
We can’t help but wonder if SRK asked Anubhav Sinha to do the same for Ra.One? Now, that would be some graphic novel.
