Guess who’re the new BFFs?

In an industry that largely thrives on brandnames and star power, even friendships seem to be forged based on those grounds. Perhaps that’s why the growing camaraderie between Sridevi and Gauri Shinde comes as a breath of fresh air.

Of late, the otherwise low profile Sridevi and her English Vinglish director have been spotted a lot in various malls, restaurants and spas across the city. Sources close to the director reveal that they are the new BFFs in tinseltown. On Sunday evening the two were seen walking into a suburban multiplex sans their husbands to watch Salman’s Dabangg 2.
“They started off as colleagues working on English Vinglish. They realised that they share many common interests. So it’s hardly surprising that they chose to stay in touch even after the film got over. And today they are the best of friends,” says a source close to Gauri.
