He’s (not) got the look

He scaled new heights with Robot, but his look in his upcoming film Rana has met with mixed reactions. We’re talking about superstar Rajinikanth of course. When posters of Rana were released, the images of a much photoshopped Rajni in a warrior’s costume were met with both positive and negative comments.

While fans said they weren’t put off by the posters and intend to catch the film, industry insiders say the images were a “rush job” and that it shows.
“The makers wanted to release the first look at the same time as the mahurat of the film, that’s why the images aren’t exactly top class, as you’d expect. But I think, they will see a vast improvement by the time work on the film is complete,” says a trade analyst.
That should give Rajni fans some more reason to cheer. — JT
