On a high after Tanu Weds Manu

Deepak Dobriyal has received rave reviews for his character in Anand Rai’s wedding fiesta Tanu Weds Manu, where he plays Madhavan’s friend, Pappi. Flooded with compliments for his performance, Deepak exults, “I have been getting excellent reviews. It feels like my freedom has been snatched away. Earlier, I would roam about unperturbed but now wherever I go, people recognise me,” he says.
Deepak says that initially he was not too sure about his role in TWM. “But I didn’t have any difficulty doing this role, because the narration and the visuals by Anandji were so strong,” he says.
