Honesty’s the policy for Duggu
2012 has started with a bang for Hrithik Roshan as his Agneepath rakes in the moolah at the box office. The actor says the film’s success has been like a balm, especially after his ambitious projects like Kites and Guzaarish bombed. But Hrithik says he felt no pressure going into the film, and that he had a simple strategy to keep all comparisons between him and the legendary Amitabh Bachchan (who essayed the role of Vijay Deenanath Chauhan in the original Agneepath) at bay.
“My job was just to be honest to my director’s vision,” says Hrithik. “I just wanted to ensure that I gave each shot with as much sincerity as possible. That’s all I thought about. The feedback that I now get tells me that somewhere, I have passed (the test). And that’s enough for me.” The actor also sent out a heartfelt thank you to all his fans for appreciating his portrayal.
