A housefull makeover on the cards
Deepika Padukone, Lara Dutta and Jiah Khan formed a formidable troika last year for Housefull, strutting their two-piece bikinis on the beach. But it wasn’t much of a task convincing them to do so, given that they always had a sexy image. For the film’s sequel, however, there will be a complete image makeover required.
“Asin, Jacqueline Fernandez, Zarine Khan and Shazahn Padamsee— the quartet of leading ladies in the sequel — have a different on screen persona,” reveals a senior member from the film’s costume department. “While Asin isn’t known to shed her clothes at the drop of a hat, Zarine too was covered from head to toe in her debut film Veer.”
Jackie is really the only girl in the film who could be considered somewhat daring. “She should rub some of this boldness on Shazahn though, as she was way too cute in Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji,” the unit member adds.
All of which necessitates an image makeover plan. “The franchise is known for its glamour appeal and I’m taking it to the next level,” says Sajid Khan, currently shooting the film in London. “Asin, Jackie, Zarine and Shazahn would all be portrayed in a sexy, hot and glamorous light here, a far departure from their earlier films.”
