Hrithik to dance his heart out

Bollwyood’s own dancing sensation and superhero Hrithik Roshan is all ready to set the small screen ablaze with his new dancing show Just Dance. The actor, who is known for his difficult moves and mesmerising dance style will take up the role as the host of the show and is looking forward to a great time on television.
There have been speculations that the actor took up the show because his films (both Kites and Guzaarish) didn’t do well at the box office, but Hrithik seems unfazed by his failures on the big screen. Says the actor, in a casual tone, “Behind every failure comes the biggest success. For me dancing is something exhilarating and I feel it is the best form of expression. It is beyond the steps. I feel when you are jubilant and want to explore happiness you dance and forget the world completely.”
Hrithik, whose brilliant moves have always mesmerised the audience, has his own favourite dancers. The actor says that he has always admired veteran actor Shammi Kapoor. “He had his own unique style, which is still unmatched. His body just moved to music. He had many magic moments,” he added.
A lot of Bollywood personalities have been trying their luck on the small screen from Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan to Bollywood’s one-time leading ladies, Madhuri Dixit and Priety Zinta, have made a comeback through television. And the inspiration seems to have come straight from them. “They are my gurus, and I am still learning. I am an aspiring actor and have to learn so much from them,” he says.

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.

Shekhar Kapur’s Bandit Queen didn’t make the cut. Neither did Shaji Karun’s Piravi, which bagged 31 international awards.
