‘I can be quite naive at times’

Buoyed by the best supporting actress award for Yeh Saali Zindagi, Aditi Rao Hydari is going all out to make her presence felt with her next film London Paris New York. The film has her playing a young girl who journeys through different cities and unveils various facets of her persona. “In London, my character Lalitha is a simple girl with a wide-eyed innocence who takes on an edgy and glamorous avatar when she visits Paris. And in New York, she is seen as this elegant, posh lady. I’m really glad that I got to play three different shades in the same film,” says Aditi.
So how close is the real Aditi to her screen persona? “I think we put in something of ourselves into every character we play. I am not very much like Lalitha, except that I can be quite naive sometimes like her London persona. However, what she becomes in Paris (in the film) is very unlike me,” she says.
We’ll wait for the film to find out the truth.
