‘I drove it at high speeds’

After making his mark as a sidekick and then as part of an ensemble cast, Sharman Joshi finally has the opportunity to make his mark as a solo hero when his Ferrari Ki Sawaari comes up for release. But for now, he’s still to recover from the excitement of racing around a Ferrari. “At the risk of damaging the car, I drove it at high speeds,” he smiles. “And it was amazing.”
But in real life, he hasn’t been as lucky. He says that every time he tried speeding, he has been caught. “The inspector has caught me every time I broke a law,” he rues. “But I just pay the fine, as it’s the best option. When you compare the amount you pay as a bribe to the amount you pay as a fine, it’s almost the same. So I might as well just pay the fine.”
