‘I want to sing for Ranbir Kapoor’

He has lent his voice to many superstars in the industry and is known to share a fine equation with all of them. Sukhwinder Singh, who is one of the most sought-after playback singers in Bollywood today, now wants to sing for Ranbir Kapoor.

“I think Ranbir is one of the finest actors of this generation. I saw Barfi recently and I was floored by his performance. He is the son of a fantastic actor and the grandson of a legend. I would love to sing for him and I am optimistic that it is going to happen very soon,” he says. Sukhwinder is planning to contact Anurag Basu in the next few weeks. “Many years ago we did a television show together. I know Anurag quite well. I believe something will work out by September-October,” he says.
Sukhwinder feels that friendship is what counts the most in the industry. “The reason why I and Shah Rukh work so well together is because of the friendship we share. He still tells me Chaiyya Chaiyya is his best song till date. I share the same kind of rapport even with Salman. We collaborated for Ek Tha Tiger and it was a great experience. We have also done a few concerts together. The camaraderie always helps,” he says.
