Imran ain’t funny, says Bebo

With all eyes focused on their incredibly fresh pairing in Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu, Kareena Kapoor and Imran Khan know they have a good thing going. But while the world and its sister may be charmed by Imran’s charm, Kareena doesn’t seem to be. The reason: Imran’s odd sense of humour.
“Imran is a really sweet guy, and of course, he’s very good looking, but he is not funny at all,” Bebo says. But Imran’s made his fortune playing the funny hero in flicks like Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, Jaane Tu… and Delhi Belly! “I know…but I just don’t understand his jokes,” Bebo explains. “I don’t like them, and it’s not just me — even his friends feel the same way!”
But that doesn’t mean Bebo hasn’t enjoyed working with the young Khan. “The chemistry between us is pretty sizzling,” she says. “And jokes aside, I’ve really enjoyed working with Imran.”
That may probably be a good thing, considering the controversy Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu has already become mired in. With the censor board not taking too kindly to the use of the word “sex” in the film’s trailers, it may be up to Imran and Bebo to charm them into suggesting no further cuts.
