Imran makes a long face about shorts

For Imran Khan, a sherwani or a suit is in the pipeline when he will tie the knot with girlfriend Avantika in January 2011.
But, as of now, he is trying to get used to some casual wear. When Imran was first told he had to wear cargo shorts and chappals in Break Ke Baad, he was in a quandary. He says, “I never dress like that in real life. I will certainly not roam around at home wearing shorts and slippers. I always thought shorts were for children; when you are grown up you wear long pants. In school, after Class 8, all of us wore long pants, na?”
Imran recalls what convinced him to go casual. “The idea was to wear something that is current and cool. You want people to look at you and identify with the way you dress. Now that I have done the film, maybe I’ll feel more comfortable in shorts and slippers.”
