Imran-Ranbir rivalry heats up

Imran Khan and Ranbir Kapoor’s onscreen rivalry has always been a favourite talking point in Bollywood. And now, with the outstanding opening figures of Imran’s Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu, the talks have resurfaced.
This is Imran’s fifth consecutive release that has recorded a successful opening. “This film has established Imran overseas. In the US, UK, UAE and Australia etc, where Ranbir used to hold fort, Imran’s film has beaten even Rockstar,” says a trade insider. Says an official release from UTV, which has distributed the film overseas, “In UK, despite bad weather, Ek Main… has opened at 67,465 pounds which is higher than Rockstar that had opened at GBP 57,000 pounds.”
