Imran turns singer for Matru ki Bijlee...

His uncle Aamir started the trend more than a decade ago with Aati Kya Khandala and now Imran is taking it forward. Much like mamu jaan, the actor has turned singer for his film Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola and will be seen crooning an entire number titled Chaar Dina Ki.

“Director Vishal Bhardwaj was very particular about having Imran sing the song rather than roping in a professional playback singer. Luckily for him, Imran agreed almost immediately,” informs a source adding that Imran’s not the only one exercising his vocal chords for the film. “Pankaj Kapoor too will be pitching in for his bits because the song features both Matru and Mandola — Imran and Pankaj,” adds our source.
And from what we hear, the veteran actor had an easier time hitting the right notes as compared to Imran who had to put in a lot more effort to get his act right. We’ll reserve our judgments for later.
