‘IPL should be scared of us’

Emraan Hashmi’s back-to-back box office successes of Murder 2 and The Dirty Picture seems to have instilled in him an enviable amount of confidence.
The actor, whose second Bhatt sequel Jannat 2 is set to release right in the middle of the IPL tournament, seems least bothered by competition from cricket. He says, “We weren’t scared previously also when we released Jannat in 2008. I remember the IPL had just started and the buzz was very strong. There was a Kolkata Knight Riders match on the day of the release and we were in Kolkata to promote our film. We got a 100 per cent opening, and inshallah, with this film too, things will be the same. We are not scared of the IPL. The IPL should be scared of us.”
Let’s hope he doesn’t have to eat those brave words.
