Irrfan to act as villain in Spiderman?

It’s raining desi villains in Hollywood films. After Anil Kapoor bagged the role of the bad guy in Mission Impossible 4, buzz has it that Irrfan Khan is being considered for a negative character in another Hollywood venture.
The Slumdog Millionaire actor is already a Hollywood player after roles in Darjeeling Limited, New York I Love You and A Mighty Heart. And now Irrfan has reportedly been approached to play the villainous Van Atter, an evil Proto-Goblin — a normal human being who morphs into an evil incarnation, in the next Spiderman film.
It’s a big Hollywood mega-venture but the actor has not signed on the dotted line yet. We sent a message to Irrfan who is currently in Cairo to confirm the story. He replied, “It’s too early to talk about that; will be back by 8th. Will speak to you then.”
