Irrfan acts with Gabriel Byrne

Irrfan Khan is on cloud nine these days as his performances have been making waves in the West. Apart from his last two movies, Mira Nair’s The Namesake and Michael Winterbottom’s A Mighty Heart, where he worked with Angelina Jolie, the actor has recently completed shooting for the third season of the TV series In Treatment with Gabriel Byrne. Directed by Rodrigo Garcia, In Treatment tackles the tale of a psychotherapist (Byrne) and his weekly sessions with his patients. Irrfan, who has been in New York for the last three months, is looking forward to the series going on air.
Besides that, his venture Pan Singh Tomar will have its world premiere at the 54th British Film Institute London Film Festival, starting Oct 13. He also stars in Jennifer Lynch’s Hisss, where he plays a police inspector. On the home front, he has Mani Shankar’s Knock Out where he plays a banker, Vishal Bharadwaj’s Saat Khoon Maaf with Priyanka Chopra and Anees Bazmee’s Thank You.
