It’s Abhi, confirmed

It’s finally confirmed. Abhishek Bachchan will be playing a leading role in the remake of the hit Tamil film Vettai. Ever since all the uncertainty over whether or not the original choice, Shahid Kapoor, would be a part of the film died a natural death (with the actor’s firm refusal) a new set of speculations had arisen over who would actually take Sasha’s place.

For a while, Ali Zafar was considered, and then John Abraham and Abhishek were suggested.
With Abhishek’s name confirmed, it seems that all the roadblocks holding up the project have finally been cleared.
“Yes, the film had been shelved for a while because of the uncertainty over the leading man, but UTV was intent on reviving the project considering the original Vettai was such a big hit. Abbas and Mustan had previously been confirmed as directors for the project, and considering they share a good equation with Abhishek, things should proceed smoothly from now on,” a source from the production house revealed.
