It’s Murder 3 for V-Day
While popular notion commands a romantic outing on Valentines Day, the Bhatts have decided to go against it. The buzz is that the Bhatts have decided to release a violent tale, Murder 3, on the weekend of Valentines’s Day, instead of the much-awaited romantic sequel Aashiqui 2.
“This is shocking no less,” says a source, adding, “Aashiqui stands for love and I see no better way to bring back the franchise after 20 years than on the Valentines Day. But they chose Murder 3, which is a violent saga. And this is despite the fact that both the films went on the floors around the same time.”
Even though Murder 3 doesn’t feature Bhatts’ blue-eyed boy Emraan Hashmi, the makers are pitching it as a love story that would bring Randeep Hooda, Aditi Rao Hydari and Mona Laizza in a different light altogether.
Besides, it might just be a blessing in disguise for the cast of Aashiqui 2. Especially since Karan Johar is planning to bring his romcom musical Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu on the eve of Valentines Day as well. Violence vs love! That’ll be an interesting watch. What do you say?
