It was Imtiaz, not Ranbir!

All who thought Rockstar chick Nargis Fakhri had eyes only for Ranbir Kapoor, would be surprised to know the pretty lady was actually far closer to director Imtiaz Ali than Ranbir himself. As it turned out, Ranbir — tired of link-ups with all his female leads — was apprehensive of getting too close to Nargis, with the result that the newcomer was left quite alone on the sets.
“Ranbir didn’t want to fuel any rumours. So when it came to serious counselling and other acting tips, it was Imtiaz who had to step in,” says a unit member. “It was an arrangement nobody minded, and also, nobody linked Ranbir and Nargis either.”
