Jacky’s in Dippy’s corner

Even as the Deepika Padukone-Anushka Sharma war heats up, another B’towner — Jacqueline Fernandez — has come out in support of Dippy.

Jacky’s avowal of friendship with Dippy comes at a time when it was widely said that the two actresses were at each other’s throats over who would get higher billing in their upcoming film. “We read that bit and had a good laugh,” Jacqueline said, adding, “There was never any discomfort between Deepika and me. She is a thorough professional and I did my bit. We never got into each other’s space. I’m very fond of Deepika.”
The Sri Lankan beauty clarified that they had no hang-ups over their respective roles in the film: “Deepika is very secure about her position as an actress. We knew about our roles. I wish people would credit us with having a little grey matter.”
