Jilted spy goes back to romcoms
Not one to cry over spilt milk (read Agent Vinod), Saif Ali Khan has already moved on to new projects. The actor will be taking a break from packing punches and go back to what he does best — romantic comedies. The film, incidentally, has been in the pipeline for nearly one and half years and Saif has roped in Saket Chaudhary, of Pyar Ke Side Effects fame to direct it. This would also mark a comeback for Saket who has been itching to go behind the camera for six years now.
Even though Saif had signed him on right at the beginning, Saket had a long wait before the project could see the light of day. “Saif was touring the globe during the making of Agent Vinod. And around the same time he also had to fit in his schedules for Aarakshan. With these two out of the way now, he is waiting for the release of Cocktail that he has just wrapped,” says a source.
In spite of a full plate, Saif seems far from fatigued. He says, “This film with Saket is pretty much on — it’s a love story. We have locked the script already and will start filming soon.” Besides this film, he is also looking forward to the sequel of Judwaa.
With so many comedies around, looks like the spy has left for good.
