Jism 2 pulled forward to avoid clash
They may have never been the best of friends but Ekta Kapoor and Mahesh Bhatt have always been cordial towards each other; and while there exists a mutual professional respect for each other, one never expected such magnanimous favours. But when Ekta’s sex comedy Kya Super Cool Hain Hum was all set to clash with the Bhatts’ blockbuster Jism 2, it required a large concession on the part of the Bhatts who pulled their film forward by a week.
“Yes, Jism 2 is now arriving a week earlier, and there will be no clash,” confirms a source. “While the two films belong to two different genres altogether, neither would have wanted a clash to happen.”
And though the Bhatts aren’t the kind to do such favours to other filmmakers, Mahesh and Ekta have sorted this one out among themselves. When contacted, Tanuj Garg, CEO of Balaji Motion Pictures, laughs, “Well, it’s not a war, as you call it! That said, we had announced the release date of KSKHH months back.”
Whatever it is, all must be well that ends well.
