John doesn’t need a break
John is visibly excited about his role as Manya Surve in Shootout At Wadala (SAW). The actor believes that it is a role that’s going to further give his career a boost. “In every actor’s life there is that one film, and one role, that makes or breaks him. I gave my all to SAW and I’m told that it’s in the process of enjoying the returns. I deserve the applause and I deserve the success. I’ve worked hard to achieve it all,” says John.
The actor has already started work on his next film Madras Café, without taking a break from shooting schedules and film sets. “A happy state of mind is enough to refresh and rejuvenate me. Right now I’m happy and don’t feel the need to take a break.”
Madras Café releases in August and John is also the producer for the film. He admits that juggling between the two roles is not very easy. “Yes, it is difficult. But I’ve started thinking like a businessman since I made Vicky Donor. However, given the two roles that I am playing, my brain works overtime,” he adds with a smile.
