John gets his Ranjeet face-off

Although they shared screen space in Housefull 2, yesteryear baddie Ranjeet and John Abraham’s characters in the film barely had any interaction as such. But that will certainly change in Shootout At Wadala, where Ranjeet is making a full-fledged comeback in a villainous avatar.

“Ranjeet will be enacting the role of Bhaskar Dada, a notorious smuggler from the 70s. John, who plays gangster Manya Surve, will be seen getting into a face-off with Ranjeet, as their characters engage in a power play,” says a source.
Apparently, the casting of Ranjeet was deliberate as director Sanjay Gupta wanted someone who embodied the essence of the 70s in Shootout At Wadala. “John regretted that in Housefull 2, he didn’t get to trade any dialogues with Ranjeet, so he wants to make the most of this,” said Sanjay.
