Joker on quite alien territories

Science fiction has been something of an enigma as far as genres go in Bollywood. Not many have dealt with it, and even the ones who have — Koi Mil Gaya most famously — have tried to play it safe, incorporating plenty of crowd pleasing routines around the sci-fi core of things. So when Shirish Kunder decided to incorporate elements about UFOs and aliens for his Joker, it brings with it a certain degree of mystery and intrigue.
And not being satisfied with incorporating elements never witnessed before in Bollywood, director Shirish Kunder is actually planning to take them to original locations. The buzz is that the film will be shot in five different locations across the country, where aliens have actually been spotted. These dramatic scenes will be shot in March, but it seems that the leading stars of the film — Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha — won’t be a part of this schedule. Akshay, who has been a key member of the film since its inception, is said to be upset at not being a part of the schedule.
“Shirish will shoot the scenes in montages, but the lead actors won’t be a part of the schedule,” our source confirms.
