Kalki’s in Shanghai, expect some action

People in India who were glued to their screens while watching a very yellow Uma Thurman kicking butt in Kill Bill had one unanimous thought: When will we have a desi version of a smoking hot woman exacting revenge in the best way possible? The wait might just be over if the feelers from camp Shanghai are anything to go by.
Apparently, Kalki Koechlin is playing a pivotal role in the Dibakar Bannerjee film, and there is a lot of action involved. “Kalki is playing a young, half-British expatriate who’s down in India to settle scores with some very rich and powerful people,” says a senior crewmember. But she then gets stuck in a dangerous and volatile situation. This is when she starts plotting her revenge.
But given that friction between the two male leads are all that one talks about with regards to the film, Kalki’s role has been conveniently forgotten.
