Kancha becomes too evil to handle
Sanjay Dutt, who’s playing an out-and-out baddie in Agneepath, a villain who has all evil with no intermediary shades of grey, is also returning to his Khalnayak and Vaastav days with it. But even Sanjay, with all his experience, could not digest so much cruelty. While dubbing for the climax, in fact, Sanjay even asked director Karan Malhotra to tone things down a notch.
“I’d like to believe that I’m a good human being. So, to see myself as someone so menacing and evil on screen was beyond me,” Sanjay said.
Dutt, who’s gone bald with bleached and pierced eyebrows, has also won several accolades for this look, with many commenting that he looks especially menacing here. But while the climax scene was being shot, he needed to pause and compose himself. “It was during the dubbing that Sanjay asked Karan to stop, as he couldn’t take the cruelty anymore. He requested for a half-hour break, where he soothed his nerves and then got back to dubbing,” says a source present on the sets.
