Kareena’s iconic inspirations

For her forthcoming film, Heroine, directed by Madhur Bhandarkar, Bollywood’s leading actress Kareena Kapoor will be drawing inspiration from yesteryear Hollywood divas, the likes of Ava Gardner, Vivien Leigh, Elizabeth Taylor

and Marilyn Monroe. Sources reveal that Bhandarkar has specially prepared a documentary featuring the four legends to help Kareena prepare for her role. “The documentary will help her perfect the body language of the actresses, how they would walk, talk and carry themselves, and also the kind of costumes they wore,” informs the source.
Grapevine has it that the film won’t feature any Bollywood legends, as Bhandarkar couldn’t find authentic reference material on actresses such as Madhubala and Meena Kumari.
Currently, Kareena is shooting for Ra-One and Golmaal 3. As soon as she wraps up these projects she plans to watch the documentary and start preparing for her role in Heroine. The busy actress will also have to start working on Saif Ali Khan’s Agent Vinod to be directed by Shriram Raghavan. Heroine is scheduled to go on the floors by the end of this year.
