Kat has a happy homecoming

There’s something about a victory on home grounds that nothing else can match. And so it was that when Katrina Kaif was mobbed by a huge crowd of fans in London, the experience moved her more than any other accolade else has. And Shah Rukh Khan, who was with Kat at the moment (they’re in London shooting for their Yash Raj film), understood just how important the moment was for Kat.
A little birdie tells us that after wrapping up her Ek Tha Tiger shoot, Kat had left for London to for the shoot of her film with SRK. Like her other trips home, she expected only to spend some time with her mother and sisters in between work. But the experience that unfolded was unlike any other.
“Kat and SRK were shooting as per the day’s schedule when a swarm of fans came together to get a glimpse of Kat. SRK is the bigger star abroad, but he didn’t want the focus to shift from Kat, so he took a step back and didn’t make his presence obvious. The idea was to let Kat enjoy all her glory,” said a source present on the sets.
“This is the first time Kat has enjoyed so much hype in her hometown, and she was overwhelmed,” confirmed a friend of the actress.
