Kat-Preity not in YPD2

First there were strong rumours about Preity Zinta being roped in as the female lead in the Yamla Pagla Deewana sequel.

Now there is a buzz about Katrina Kaif being paired with Bobby in the film. However, the makers of the film and the actresses have denied any such development. Katrina’s dates are booked till next year and Preity is busy with her maiden home production. So there’s no way they can even give it thought.
“Neither Preity nor Katrina have been approached for the film. The role of the female actors in the film is not much, so it doesn’t require big names. We are clueless about who is spreading these rumours,” says a source from the film. Since both Kat and Preity share cordial relations with the Deols, such rumours can make things a little awkward for them, according to sources.
“YPD is a viable franchise for the family, so speculation is inevitable. Currently, the makers are out of the country and they will only finalise the female lead once they are back. But no A-lister actress is being even considered for the role,” the source adds.
Much ado about nothing!
