Kat in Zindagi... sequel

Get ready for yet another journey of your lives. Zindagi Naa Milegi Dobara, which proved to be the travel movie of the year last summer, will have a sequel if director Zoya Akhtar has her way with it. The buzz about town is that the director is working on her next film, and it’s again likely to be a travel-based adventure. While the other details are yet to be finalised, as also the rest of the starcast, Zoya is rather adamant on having Katrina Kaif on board.
“Katrina is in London and she hasn’t discussed anything with us as yet. The confirmation can happen only after Kat returns to Mumbai,” says sources close to the actress. While Kat did play the female lead in the original blockbuster as well, her role was much smaller compared to the three dudes: Hrithik, Abhay and Farhan. In the second, it is said, she will have a meatier part.
The reason Zoya is so insistent on having Kat on board, it seems, is because she feels indebted to her. “Katrina Kaif was at the peak of her career when Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara was offered to her, and though it was only a miniscule role, she still agreed to do it. It was later Katrina’s presence that added the glamour quotient and upped its star value. So Zoya wants to return the favour now,” says our source.
All we can hope for is a repeat with three lovely ladies embarking upon a road trip. Now wouldn’t that be something to watch out for!
