KJo digs Rishi sweaters

For fans growing up through the 80s, there was one constant that was associated with Bollywood: Rishi Kapoor’s sweaters. In fact, even 25 years later, that’s the one enduring image we have of Rishi and his films. And Karan Johar, who calls himself a lifelong fan, is no different. Characterised by the sleeveless woollens that he wears at events, Karan says his sense of style has come from Rishi.
“I used to force my father to buy me Rishi Kapoor sweaters when he used to go out of the country. The printed sweaters that Chintuji wore were available in a store in London. I would wear those sweaters and pose in them. He is my number one actor. I grew up loving and going completely crazy about Rishi Kapoor,” he says.
