Kunal can’t handle Kashmiri dawat

Rahul Dholakia’s Lamhaa may not have been a box office hit but Kunal Kapoor just can’t seem to get over the hospitality he was welcomed with in Kashmir.
When Kunal was shooting for Lamhaa, he was invited for a traditional Kashmiri dawat. What Kunal didn’t know was that a traditional Kashmiri dinner comprises 25 courses. To top it off if a guest gets up from the dinner table midway it is perceived as an insult to the host.
Unit sources reveal that when Kunal went for the dinner, he was delighted and surprised by the elaborate cuisine on the table. He enthusiastically started tasting the courses he was served. But soon after the fifth course the poor lad realised he couldn’t eat any more. The thought of 20 more courses must have terrified him. And considering he couldn’t even get up from the table, he could not help but squirm uncomfortably.
In fact, by the end of the meal Kunal was in no condition to talk to anybody. He was so stuffed with the rich food that he chose to bid goodbye and make a quick exit. The last we heard, Kunal is extra careful about accepting dinner invitations these days.
