At long last, Tusshar gets a solo lead
Tusshar Kapoor is definitely the king of multistarrers. In a career spanning a little over a decade, he has worked in many big-budget multistarrers, but a solo hit is something that has still eluded him. However, he hopes his luck would change with the upcoming Chaar Din Ki Chandni. “Tusshar has done just one solo film in the last five years, in Love You Mr Kalakar, and that too didn’t do well,” observes an insider.
The problem has been over his characterisation; having played exuberant characters in all his madcap comedy films, Tusshar found solo leads that require a subtle balance hard to come his way. “My character isn’t just about comedy. It involves a lot of herogiri,” admits Tusshar. “And while Golmaal was slapstick, Chaar Din Ki Chandni is a romcom. So I’m happy I’m working on this.”
