A long wait in store for Sooraj

Why is this protégé making his former mentor wait so long? It wasn’t too long ago that Sooraj Barjatya helped give a huge boost to Salman Khan’s Bollywood career through blockbusters like Maine Pyaar Kiya and Hum Aapke Hain Kaun.

But now, when Sooraj needs Sallu to help revive the ailing Barjatya fortunes in B’town, the “Tiger” Khan has put him on hold.
Now Sallu has agreed to do Sooraj’s next film and was even to give the required block of dates for the project in 2013. But now it seems there has been a change of plans, and one Sooraj may not much like. Sallu has decided to start work on Shirish Kunder’s Kick. “After wrapping up Dabangg 2, Salman will shoot for Sohail’s Sher Khan and then Kick. This will keep him busy almost the whole of next year,” said sources close to Sallu.
The Barjatyas are understandably disheartened. Their hopes of getting back into the B’wood game with their commercially viable protégé will have to wait a little longer.
