‘Mahie is a real delight’

With Sahib Biwi Aur Gangster, Tigmanshu Dhulia has not only given us one of the year’s biggest success stories, but he has also dealt with topics like adultery and crimes of passion with skillful dexterity.
Talking about the “necessity” of having sex in the film, Dhulia says, “When your film deals with married people above 30, sex becomes an integral necessity of the plot. But I have ensured that the sex isn’t forced; it comes in smoothly. I dealt with it carefully, and it wasn’t in bad taste.”
He adds that he didn’t even have to try hard to convince the film’s stars. “I have worked with Mahie before; she is a director’s delight. She surrenders herself completely and was very comfortable doing the scenes. In fact, all the actors in SBG were fine with the lovemaking scenes,” he adds.
