Mallika’s item song out of Tezz

Last week, we told you about potential trouble brewing in Camp Tezz. The film’s producer Ratan Jain had a falling out with director Priyadarshan over an item number involving Mallika Sherawat. While Jain wanted Mallika to perform the number, Priyan was dead against having her in. But just when it looked like the differences would affect the film’s prospects, it seems like Priyan might have his way after all.
Latest buzz from the film’s editing table is that the song has been snipped off. “Priyan sir was always against the song. Now a call has been taken and it won’t feature in the film. In fact, it won’t even appear in the end credit rolls. Of course, Mallika can’t be too happy about this, but they’ve taken a call and that’s that,” says a source.
Even producer Ratan Jain says he’s happy that all’s ended well. “Ratanji is always fair in his dealings. He’s a seasoned producer and he’d never short-change his actors. And though it looked like a big fight was brewing between him and Priyan, Ratan wasn’t too keen on having the song,” says an associate.
