A most ‘rowdy’ Farah overdose

There will be as much Farah Khan as Akshay Kumar in the latter’s big budget blockbuster Rowdy Rathore that releases later this year. Two of Farah’s films — Joker and Shirin Farhad Ki Nikal Padi — will be launched along with Rowdy Rathore. While Joker is produced by Farah, she makes her acting debut in SFKNP.
“It is quite a coincidence that Farah should introduce two films of hers at the same time as Akshay’s Rowdy Rathore,” remarks a source, adding that perhaps the producers of Rowdy Rathore — UTV and Sanjay Leela Bhansali — may have had something to do with the timing. “UTV is backing Joker, while SFKNP is a Bhansali production. It could be a mutually beneficial exercise for all parties involved.”
But then considering how hotly anticipated Rowdy Rathore is, don’t be surprised if there are other films which also queue up to associate themselves with it. As of now though, it is Joker and SFKNP which have booked the early bird slots. We tried to contact Farah, but she was unavailable for comment. Perhaps she wants the secret to stay one for a little longer.
