Mughda ‘helps’ spread fear in box office

Actress Mughda Godse, who is just two films old, is all set to scare the audience with her role in Help. The actress reveals that she was apprehensive about doing a horror film. “I knew it was too early in my career to do such a film, but then when I heard the script I simply couldn’t say no. I was scared in the beginning and then decided to experience horror instead,” she said.
The actress says that she has now overcome her fear about ghosts. “I experienced spirits during my modelling days.
“We were put up at a hotel and I was with another model. I thought she was talking to her boyfriend for a long time. I went and asked her about it. She said that she thought I was talking to my boyfriend. We realised that we had heard voices. We got scared and changed our room quickly,” she added.
Help is the directorial debut of Rajeev Virani, and stars Bobby Deol in the lead.
Mughda says that after working in this film, she has become a fan of horror films. “I watch one horror film every week now. And I enjoy watching it in the dark.”
About the role, the 24-year-old actress revealed, “I play the role of Pia, wife of a horror filmmaker. We have marital problems and in the midst of the troubled marriage, we have to rush Mauritius to visit my ailing father and that’s where the unusual things start happening.”
When asked what is it about the film that would appeal to the audiences, she retorted, “It is not the usual run-of-the-mill kind of horror. This film has an international appeal.”
Mugdha is now looking forward to her romantic comedy Will You Marry Me? starring Rajeev Khandelwal, Shreyas Talpade, Celina Jaitley and Muzamil Ibrahim in the lead
roles.

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.

Shekhar Kapur’s Bandit Queen didn’t make the cut. Neither did Shaji Karun’s Piravi, which bagged 31 international awards.
