‘My fans won’t disappoint me’
Salman Khan is still riding high on the success of his last film Dabangg, which proved to be blockbuster and went on to break many box office records. However, trade analysts have been speculating heavily on the box-office opening that his latest release Ready will get.
The filmmakers, who are relying on Dabangg’s success to work in favour of Ready, are keeping their fingers crossed. But one man who sounds calm and composed is Salman himself. He is extremely hopeful about Ready’s fate at the box office and believes that his fans will give him a good opening. “I believe that my fans will not disappoint me and definitely go to see a good film of mine,” he says.
Somehow Salman doesn’t find the National Award from the government for Dabangg to be a big deal. “The Indian audience had given us these awards and rewards earlier. Now the audience has convinced the government that this award should be given to Dabangg only. Hope they keep supporting us like this. The National Award is important, but the nation is more important. So I tend to go by the audiences’ reactions to my films,” he says.
Apart from Ready, Sallu is also now looking forward Ek Tha Tiger with Katrina Kaif. This is the first time that he is working with Yash Raj Films. “Our fathers (Yash Chopra-Salim Khan) have worked a lot together and now the sons (Aditya Chopra and I) are working together. I am sure it is going to be a great association,” he says.
