‘My film doesn’t come close to BAE’
Kangna Ranaut is looking at Miley Na Miley Hum as the movie that will change her flagging fortunes, but it appears there is some serious lack of original creativity when it comes to the film itself. Not only the romantic comedy genre, but also the plot of one guy being wooed by three girls seems strangely inspired by the 2008 flick Bachna Ae Haseeno.
“The similarities are hard to ignore,” says an anonymous source. “At the heart of the film is the premise of one boy with three girls around him.” While debutant Chirag Paswan seems to play a role similar to Ranbir Kapoor in BAE, Kangna’s story seems similar to Deepika’s, Sagarika Ghatge’s is like that of Bipasha’s and Neeru Bajwa is playing a Punjabi kudi, just like Minissha Lamba did. “The film’s plot has been shrouded in secrecy, and the makers have revealed only the songs that feature Chirag with Kangna. Nothing else has been revealed, all of which makes one wonder if the similarities with BAE are playing on the makers’ minds.”
When contacted, Chirag rubbished these theories. “MNMH doesn’t get into a love triangle or anything. I can’t tell you more, but it doesn’t even come close to BAE,” he says.
