Naseer-Vidya to sizzle soon

Theirs is an unlikely jodi, but one that has proved oddly successful at the box office. We’re talking about Vidya Balan and Naseeruddin Shah, who were first seen together in Ishqiya. They paired up again for The Dirty Picture, and now, if all goes well, they will co-star in Sanjay Gupta’s Shootout At Wadala as well.
Sanjay’s film is growing increasingly ambitious of late, with the director contemplating signing on Naseer, Vidya and Nana Patekar for the ensemble project. And the Vidya-Naseer pairing is sure to be a talking point. A source connected to the film explains why Sanjay is so keen to have these stars in his sequel to Shootout At Lokhandwala. “Sanjay wants his comeback film to be the biggest of them all. He wants to have the best actors from Bollywood in his project and Naseer saab and Vidya fit the bill.”
Sanjay doesn’t deny that he is considering signing on Vidya and Naseer, but adds that “nothing is finalised as yet”. “Naseer and Vidya are on my wish list and I would love to work with them,” Sanjay says.
