Neil lays to rest Dippy rumours

It seems that all Neil Nitin Mukesh has been doing for a while now, is denying rumours linking him to Lafangey Parindey co-star Deepika Padukone. Of late however, he’s been busy scotching rumours of an entirely different sort, albeit involving dear Dippy.
When Neil announced his home production Paidaar a few months ago, buzz among industrywallahs was that Dippy was a shoo-in for the lead role, with Players’ writer Rohit Jugraj slated to helm the project. Neil begs to differ, saying no actress had been approached to play the lead in Paidaar. “As of now, Paidaar is not happening with Deepika,” Neil confirmed. “I will be acting in it for sure, but no one else has been finalised, not even Rohit (Jugraj). Hopefully, he will direct it, but I don’t want to make any announcements now.”
Paidaar, touted to be a romantic thriller is not going on the floors anytime soon, which leaves Neil with plenty of time to make up his mind about who his leading lady will be. But we know who’s on his mind for sure. “Well, I do hope that Deepika will be able to do the film once it’s finalised,” Neil says.
And the merry-go-round starts again…
