New year promises a Duggu overload

Fans and followers of Hrithik Roshan can rejoice. The reluctant actor, who has been doing only one or two films a year for a while now, will be breaking his rules. The next couple of years will see his itinerary become much more prolific, giving B’town’s leading ladies an opportunity to work with their favourite hunk.

“As many as five of Hrithik’s films are expected to release over the next two years,” says an industry analyst. “Krissh 3 is nearing the finish line. Then he kickstarts the Knight and Day remake with Siddharth Anand. His association with Shekhar Kapur and Aditya Chopra for Paani will also soon be made official and he has committed to a film with Sajid Nadiadwala. Also, there is a Karan Johar film with Karan Malhotra in charge of direction.”
This is an impressive list as compared to 2011 and 2012, which saw only one film each — Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara and Agneepath — of Duggu’s release.
It’ll also be interesting to see who Duggu is paired with in his upcoming films. “While Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif are already on board for his next two films, an announcement is awaited on who will feature opposite him in the others,” our source adds.
